Cosmos
— or Dirty Lens?
Experimental ✓
This poster is a personal project that plays with the bokeh — an aesthetic photographic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by lens — applied in this case with some dust affecting a simple digital camera. The as amazing as easy to produce lens-effect of powder + lights + dark background created a capture that reminds of an image of the universe. The more distant and shallow dust particles seemed like constellations, the closer ones appeared just like planets. And there was also a vivid nebula athmosphere somewhere in it. Well, to a careless eye it might look just like a picture of the outer space. So here came the question-title of the poster, interrogating the viewer about the real nature of the image: is this astronomy stuff or is this just a distracting lens aberration?
